JOHNNY HENDRICKS GETS UNDESERVED WIN AT HOME
San Francisco, CA– At UFC 167, Johnny Hendricks was shorted by three judges who gave legendary UFC welterweight (170 lb.) champ Georges St. Pierre a Unanimous Decision after Hendicks seemingly won 4 of the 5 rounds. Last night in Dallas, TX, the hometown for Hendricks, Robbie Lawler got the short end of a unanimous decision with three scores of 48-47 (3-2 rounds). The way I saw it, Lawler certainly won 3, if not 4 rounds against Hendricks. Using a size and reach advantage, Lawler out punched Hendricks for the first 20 minutes. The only round Hendricks won clearly was the last. Truly an MMA heist, at least in my eyes on the scorecards.
HECTOR LOMBARD GETS BY JAKE SHIELDS
Former Bellator middleweight (185) titleholder Hector Lombard, now a welter (170) took a UD 3 over game Jake Shields. Lombard gassed in the 2nd round and Shields tried to turn the judges his way but came up shy on the cards 30-27 twice & 29-28.
