World 140 lb. champion Danny Garcia (26-0, 16 KOS) vs. Lucas Martin Matthysse (34-2, 32 KOs) Odds/Prediction: Lucas 9-5. Garcia is pretty tough, but I think he’s scared as SHOULD every fighter be, unless he’s fighting Willie Standup. Fear works two ways, it either inspires you to another level, at least individually, or it can turn help turn you into boxing rubble.

Philly kid Garcia not a big talker, his father Angel Garcia is “his mouth.” Strange in that Puerto Rican fans have not yet flocked to Garcia. If he were to win, that might change. Lucas on the other hand sort of reminds me a bit of Marvin Hagler, in that if given the opportunity to fight the two guys who hold wins over him, Hagler beat Bobby Watts and Willie Monroe by KO in rematches, Lucas would destroy Devon Alexander and Zab Judah.

defensively, get through Garcia’s guard and prevail before 36 minutes of battle is complete many think.Danny has his backers, some ardent, but this fight probably won’t last the distance and Argentina will have a new national icon. Wise guys are all expecting Lucas to win inside of distance. It just might end early, what I’m saying Matthysse wins with an $1,800 drop for a $2,800 return.

Pwoplw don’t want to give Floyd Mayweather credit because he’s not like Bill Cosby’s television kid. Floyd has worked hard promoting this card after the poor P.R. that didn’t make Robert Guerrero-Mayweather the event it could have been. Put it this way, nobody at Showtime was ecstatic with the numbers. Seeing the Time Warner-Showtime stalemate is apparently over, look for Mayweather-Alvarez to do at least two million pay per view buys at $70 for HD & $65 for the norm.
