Wladimir Klitschko-Francesco Pianeta

HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP “SECOND FIDDLE” TO MAYWEATHER-GUERRERO

SAP Arena, Germany– Champion Wladimir Klitschko (59-3, 51 KOs) vs. Francesco Pianeta (28-0-1, 15 KOs) – WBO/IBF/WBA heavyweight (200 lbs. +) title. Odds/Prediction: Wladimr 6 1/2 to 1. Italian stallion(?) is 6’5, lefthanded & 11 years younger at 28 than Wlad. That’s all I can say positive about the challenger. As for champion Wladimir, 37 and an inch taller, tired, worn, showing signs of decline that could bring about a loss on any given night. Don’t think Italian is a stallion, more like a trail horse that Klitschko is supposed to look “real” good against. Still, at 37? Recomend “Pass” on wagers as line is too long seeing aforementioned intangibles.

“THE GHOST” GUERRERO VS. “MONEY” MAYWEATHER

Robert Guerrero Need Imitate Mustapha Hamsho

Las Vegas, NV- (Showtime PPV) Champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. (43-0, 26 KOs) vs. Champion* Robert Guerrero (31-1-1, 18 KOs) (*WBC 147 lb. title match between champ & interim champion) Odds/Prediction: Mayweather 14-5. Odds driven by record of unbeaten Mayweather and his handpicking Guerrero. NO mystique here as Floyd will need to box and Robert will need to “disturb” Floyd, mugging him, even throwing “Money” down Mustapha Hamsho style (think Wilford Scypion & Wilfredo Benitez) to get a point across. Remains to be seen as to what way this clash plays out. Deserved favorite, live underdog, a betting quagmire.

PONCE DE LEON MEETS “LOW BLOW” CHAMP

Champion Daniel Ponce de Leon (44-4, 35 KOs) vs. Abner Mares (25-0-1, 13 KOs) (WBC 126 lb. title) Odds/Prediction: NOTE: Both managed by El Lay’s Frank Espinosa. Mares 7-5. Close encounter of the 126 lb. kind. Low blow guy Mares thought to be Eusebio Pedroza of 2013 (think Juan Laporte and 126+ fouls in 15 rounds) will have “enforcer” type referee in Jay Nady, thus
he’ll be called on shots to the hips. Southpaw Ponce old for 32, meaning lots of miles on body. Everything looks Mares here, will drop $1,400 to win $2,400.

FIGHTING LOVE NOT ALWAYS SO EASY!

Gabriel Rosado (21-6, 13 KOs) vs. J’Leon Love (15-0, 8 KOs) 160 lbers. Odds/Prediction: Rosado 12-5. Philly fighter has been “elevated gatekeeper” to middleweight class. Loss to Gennady Golovkin (25-0) last time out in January NO DISGRACE. Rosado the better unless he git old overnight.

TELEVISED PPV CARD KICKS OFF WITH SOLID PROSPECT

Alexander Munoz (36-4, 28 KOs) vs. Leo Santa Cruz (23-0-1, 13 KOs) 122 lbers. Odds/Prediction: Santa Cruz 2 1/2 to 1. Bet of weekend! Throwing $500 to reap $700.
