MISINFORMED OR MISUNDERSTOOD, STORY WAS STILL OFF!
San Francisco, CA– Earlier this week, after a conversation and email from “Yory Boy” Campas‘ trainer Joe Diaz, I lambasted Top Rank promoter Bob Arum as I was misinformed when I said the check was part of a court ordered “restitution” to be made to Campas and Diaz from Top Rank’s Arizona promoter Peter McKinn. It turned out to be an old check for $3,000 Diaz had found and somehow the phone call and subsequent email was misinterpreted. Therefore, admitting the error, I apologize to everyone involved.
