RECENT UPROAR OVER MANNY PACQUIAO STATEMENTS
San Francisco, CA– By now, we’ve all heard about the anti-Gay marriage stance of Manny Pacquiao. We have also read that he was thought to have said, “All Gay Men Should Be Killed.” The writer, either he misquoted Pacquiao or was “forced” to fall on his sword and take one for the Pacquiao team as the negative publicity brought about by the article in a Los Angeles, CA web publication, has gotten the ire of Gay people, as well as those who believe Lesbians, Bisexuals, Gay men and those of the Transgender persuasion, should not be discriminated upon and be allowed to pursue happiness regardless of their sexual orientation.
When I was a San Francisco Policeman, I gave a Filipino woman, who had a California issued identification card, a “citation” for shoplifting ay Macy’s. Even my Field Training Officer, as I was still in the “Field Training” program, who had to approve everything I did, signed off on the citation for a charge of 488 PC (Petty Theft). We both commented later on the thought to be female’s good looks and curves. Three days later, I was working the transport van, known in some circles as the “paddy wagon,” when I saw this same individual linked together with handcuffs to a string of eight or so men. That’s when Sgt. Perini called both Field Training Officer Dan Ferretti and myself aside and told us the “chick” we had cited three days prior was actually a male. Everybody was laughing, except the person being transported to City Prison.
WHY ARE PINOY GAYS TRASHED WHEN THEY ARE SO PREVALENT?
According to the 2002 Young Adult Fertility and Sexuality Survey, “11% of sexually active Filipinos between the ages of 15 and 24 have had sex with someone of the same sex.” Seeing it is taboo to admit to such ant-heterosexual activity in the Philippines, the 11% number is way off, with some thinking it is close to 25%. That being said, there have been a number of proposals set before the Philippine Congress to allow “Same-Sex” marriage, none have come close to passing. A lot of this has to do with religion, especially the predominant religion in the country, the Roman Catholic Church, an entity that has paid off billions of dollars in claims regarding pedophile priests.
FOR OVER THREE DECADES THERE IS A “MISS GAY PHILIPPINE” PAGEANT!
“Miss Gay Philippines” is the biggest and most prestigious gay pageant in the Philippines. Now in its 30th year, reportedly this was started in 1980s by Chito Alcid. For the record, the first Miss Gay Philippines crown was won by Maria Rosario “Chat” Silayan. As I stated before, a good percentage of Philippine men are Gay, as is my barber of 10+ years. This whole thing about Gay Marriage, discrimination against Gays, who are called “Bakla” in Tagalog, the language of the Philippines, this needs to come to an end worldwide.
PEOPLE HAVE BEEN GAY SINCE THE BEGINNING OF TIME
A lot of those that are either ignorant, don’t have a Gay relative, or have never had a personal friend of this persuasion, they think that the Gay thing is a “choice of life.” Having grown up with a kid in our neighborhood who had extreme feminine tendencies, as well as having interacted with Gay people most of my adult life, I can tell you that being Gay has, at least in my lifetime, never been a “choice of life” for any man or woman. People are born Gay, they are not influenced or drugged into being so, and it is something that most know early on in life.
REMEMBER THE BRADY BUNCH? HOW ABOUT RICKY MARTIN?
Robert Reed, who played the father in the hit TV show “The Brady Bunch,” he admitted that he knew early on that he was not attracted to females. During the filming of the initial episodes, Florence Henderson, who played his wife, she picked up on it as he was reluctant to kiss her, this according to the late producer Sherwood Schwartz. Puerto Rican singer Ricky Martin, “Living La Vida Loca,” he was once one of the most sought after men in the world by females, he was Gay and admitted being attracted to males very early on in life. In closing, being a biker is a choice of life, joining a club or fraternal institution like the Masons, this is a choice of life. For the sexually insecure and or ignorant people that think that being Gay is a “choice of life,” you might want to rethink that nonsense.
