UFC HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMP JUNIOR DOS SANTOS ON OVEREEM & HIS STEROID USE!

San Francisco, CA– Last week I thought that challenger UFC top-ranked heavyweight contender Alistair Overeem would probably get licensed in Nevada. What a difference a week makes! This was prior to me learning that the top ranked contender tested positive for a 14-1 Testosterone ratio when the Nevada State Athletic Commission pulled a “surprise” test on him a fortnight ago. I was first told the ratio was 6-1. With a possible hearing next week before the Nevada Commission, Overeem is facing a lot of negative press. UFC heavyweight champ Junior Dos Santos said he doesn’t want to fight Overeem. Quoted in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter penned by Dave “The Genius” Meltzer, with Santos said he thinks a the 14-1 Testosterone level that some say can amount to a 30% advantage in strength and aggressiveness for Overeem, is so far above the level 4-1 legal limit that he wants out. He’ll fight Overeem if he as to, but he doesn’t want to! To subscribe to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter go to www.WrestlingObserver.com

I’M NOW LEANING TOWARDS OVEREEM NOT FIGHTING MAY 26!

Dos Santos, while saying he doesn’t want to fight Overeem, said he will if “push comes to shove” and Overeem is cleared. If Alistair is approved, this will surely bring about a ton of negative press being hurled at the UFC, it’s President Dana White, and the Nevada Commission.

SHOULD FIGHTERS WHO SCREWED THEM UP BY USING ‘ROIDS BE ALLOWED TO USE ‘ROIDS?

Alistair Overeem

There are a handful of UFC fighters that are allowed to take “Testosterone Replacement Therapy,” this after they used steroids to the point where they destroyed their own body’s ability to produce Testosterone. Should this be allowed? I mean they *ucked themselves up while at the same time, they were cheating. Tito Ortiz, Junior Dos Santos, and other UFC fighters of note, they are not in favor of Testosterone Replacement Therapy.

ULTIMATE FIGHTER GOING TO EUROPE, INDIA & AUSTRALIA!

The #2 reality TV show in Brazil is, “The Ultimate Fighter Brazil,” which is second only to “Big Brother.” UFC czar Dana White is illustrating why he is making the UFC truly an “international sport.” On the UFC drawing board is putting on an “England vs. Australia Ultimate Fighter” program, in addition to the “Ultimate Fighter India.” I guess you can see why the UFC, now worth $1 billion US dollars, will be worth far more in five years. The FOX TV deal alone that the UFC inked last year, a ten year pact for $100 million, was considered the coup of the sports world in 2011.

BARS & BUSINESSES THAT STOLE UFC EVENTS PAID $4.7 MILLION!

Every time a Pay Per View broadcast of note is coming to fruition, be it boxing or UFC, there are ads on Craigslist looking for Security Guard types and Private Investigators to go from bar to bar in the hope of catching a business pirating the broadcast. Dave Meltzer reported that the UFC only charges $1,000 for bars to air the PPV cards. The average cost for these Pirates after being caught is $32,000, paying both a fine and the UFC’s legal expenses. Point to be learned here, “Don’t *uck with Dana White.”

RAGE OF MMA WORLD RONDA ROUSEY ON SHOWTIME’S STRIKEFORCE CARD?

Ronda Rousey

The “Strikeforce Grand Prix Heavyweight Championship” fight on May 19 pits ex-UFC king Josh Barnett(36-5) vs. unbeaten Daniel Cormier (9-0) go at it May 19 from San Jose, CA. I think Barnett is far too much for the former American amateur-wrestling star. Strikeforce is trying to make unbeaten 2004 Olympic runner up in Judo, Randy Rousey (5-0, five arm bar submissions) vs. Sarah Kaufman (15-1) for Kaufman’s Strikeforce bantamweight (135) title, most likely on a July card at Strikeforce’s #1 venue, again the San Jose H.P. Pavilion. Bad news for Kaufman’s as her only loss was by arm bar submission. I’d be willing to bet on her losing a second time by arm bar.
