IF ONLY MARTINEZ WERE MEXICAN!

San Francisco, CA– When you think about all the sh*t the boxing establishment has put undisputed World middleweight (160 lbs) champion Sergio Martinez through, one might suggest a Bio Hazzard team come and hose him off. Instead the Argentine will defend the true World championship this Saturday on HBO against somebody named Darren Barker. No, he is not the son of TV game show host Bob Barker, but the unbeaten (23-0, 14 KOs) lad has just about the same chance as the now near 80-year old daytime television icon. Like Don King is famous for saying, Barker’s chances are “slim and none, and slim just left town!”

MARTINEZ SHOULD TELL THE WBC TO STUFF THAT SILVER BELT UP THEIR ARSE!

The World Boxing Council (WBC) is referred to here at RingTalk.com in two ways. I refer to them as the World of Bunco & Chicanery, while our own Kevin “KP” Perry has labeled them the World Boxing Circus, this in a recent article. Sergio at (47-2-2, 26 KO’s) is the real deal boxing fans. Nobody gave him a WBC title, like Jose Sillyman (Sulaiman) did when he gave the green WBC belt to untested * (that also means unbeaten with an asterisk) Mexican national Julio Cesar Chavez, Jr., and then issued Martinez the “Diamond WBC” belt.

CHAVEZ SHOULD BE ARRESTED FOR IMPERSONATING A CHAMPION

Having followed his father, Julio Cesar Chavez Sr. since his United States debut in 1982, all the way until the sad ending, I can tell you that if Julio Sr. were like ex-World light heavyweight (175) champion Bob Foster, he’d tell the kid to, “Go find a real job.” But with Sillyman pulling the strings in regards to whom Junior Chavez fights, and picking the officials as well, little Chavez is going to bank a lot of money for being nothing more than a fraud, a crude impersonator of his father, and of the real middleweight champ Martinez.

NOT ONLY IS THE WBC SCREWING MARTINEZ, BUT HBO IS JUST AS GUILTY!

In case you didn’t know it, Martinez beat the stuffing out of the alcoholic Teddy Bear himself Kelly Pavlik, then the reigning World middleweight champ. In his next fight, Martinez gets the short end of the money against challenger Paul Williams, and as champion was disgraced by being announced first, as Williams, HBO’s house fighter guided by HBO’s house manager Al Heyman, was given the honor bestowed upon a champion in all but one other fight I can remember, that being when Larry Holmes was introduced before the “Great White Hope” at the time, Gerry Cooney. In the Holmes debacle, I don’t criticize Gerry, as classy as they come today and then, as he was following the cue of the “Whacko Twins,” his management team of Dennis Rappaport and Mike Jones, two egomaniacs who negotiated a 50-50 split in purse money with Holmes, who would punish Gerry for his being treated like a Plantation slave leading up to the fight, before stopping him late.

SIGNORELLA “GOES INTO DEEP WATER” WITH HIS WEEKEND PREVIEW

Now that my rant is over, Mr. John Signorella has the “Weekend Preview” for your viewing here at RingTalk.com, but I just had to weigh in on the bulls*it that Sergio Martinez has endured.
